Our hats are made by the local Amish community. The straw hats are made from braided rice straw. Many of the straw hats are made in local Amish homes, and then brought to the local hatmaker to put the finishing touches on them.

The black Amish dress hats are made by the local Amish hatmaker from fur felt. They are high quality. With many western ranchers ordering these hats for everyday wear. The size is calculated by the average diameter of your head, which is the circumference of your head divided by 3.14 (Pi).

Custom hats may also be available. Please contact me if you need a custom size or different brim or crown measurement. Standard crowns are just over 4” tall and standard brims are 3 1/2”, although other brim sizes are usually in stock.

If you don’t buy this hat, it is fair to assume that it will be on an Amishman’s head!
